Boadella is a village formed by a nucleus of narrow streets whith surround the Gothic Palatial-Castle of Boadella and the church of Santa Cecilia. |

Within the municipal boundaries, and passing into those of the neighbouring village of Darnius, is the Boadella reservoir which supplies water to Figueres, the capital ot the area. |

|
The construcción of the dam, on whose banks there are many chalets, meant that the traditional economic activity changed from agricultural to tourist.
The areas of Les Escaules and La Caula belond to this municipality.
